Success factors of place branding of European cities

The thesis is devoted to determining the factors influencing the success of place branding implementation in European cities. The involvement of stakeholders in the city branding process, the focus of city branding strategy on citizens and life quality increase, the inclusion of the EU- level stakeholder represented by the "Eurocities" network, management of digital identity, and the inclusion of the rhetoric of sustainability and "greenness" into the place branding strategy are considered as factors that can influence the success of city branding implementation in European cities. The analysis proved that city branding is a complex process that cannot be influenced by only one factor. The study outlined three elements necessary for the success of city branding of European cities. These factors include the involvement of stakeholders in the city branding process, digital identity management, and the inclusion of the rhetoric of sustainability and "greenness" into the place branding strategy. High-growth firms in Czechia: geographical and sectoral specifics Abstract This theses focuses on high-growth firms in Czechia, defined as firms with a predetermined year-on-year increase in turnover between years 2012 and 2015. First part is about putting high-growth firms to the context of selected theories of regional development and it also discuss factors of the firm's growth. Further the high-growth firms are analyzed with an emphasis on spatial, sectoral and other specifics. A part focused on revealing specific factors of business growth uwing qualitative methods is also included. The analysis shows that high- growth firms in Czechia are concentrated to metropolitan areas, and whole one third of them are based in Prague. High growth firms are concentrated to the manufacturing and retail and wholesale sectors. The work has suggested that individual companies may have different growth factors and and there is no one specific strategy for a successful firm growth. Management of industrial companies with the head ofice in České Budějovice in 2010

This bachelor thesis deals both with analysis and synthesis of financial indicators of industrial companies in 2010. Basic criteria for picking companies in the list are: the number of empolyees must be 20 or higher and the head office must be situated in České Budějovice. Data about financial management are taken from final accounts, consisting of balance sheet and profit and loss account. This thesis takes emphasis on following indicators: turnover, total profit, value added and personal expenses of the company. Last indicator refers to the nuber of employees. The objective of this work is to elaborate an overview about financial management of chosen companies in order to compare them with each other.
